Quillo Connect Demonstration

 Information is vital for all people. And yet, for many people with developmental disabilities, access to accessible, relevant information continues to be difficult. Quillo Connect was developed to address this issue. It is a website and an App that connects you to thousands of 1-minute videos about all kinds of things that can help you achieve your goals. All you need to use it is an email address and connection to the internet. The Arc of Virginia has partnered with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) to make sure it is free.

Shay Ruff, BSW and Peer Mentor with The Arc of Virginia explains, “and the thing about Quillo is it’s about us, so you’re going to get content that is direct for people with disability and [by people with] disability, and our allies. It’s also your peers. You’re going to have peers who do videos about cooking for example, or moving out on your own, sharing tips about interviews, all kinds of different things. It’s also a place where you can find videos on encouragement and all about moving your life forward.”
